By Dr. Susan Block Just the Tip (for now)… THANK YOU, Brothers and Sisters of Bonoboville, for giving Capt’n Max and me such a fantastic, orgiastic, bacchanalian and bonoboësque 24th wedding anniversary send-off from such a pleasure-packed, endorphin-high Womb Room! Thank you for wearing lavender (especially by accident) in observance of the 24th. Thank you for playing your mellifluous musical instruments, strumming our strings, tickling our keys and dancing through our garden naked and free.

What an excellent, eye-popping, mind-opening, heart-expanding, nipple-freeing, butt-spanking, female-ejaculating, beautiful and very bonoboësque evening with friends, lovers and some rather exciting newcomers, just proving The Dr. Susan Block Show more than merits its title, “The Greatest Sexuality Show on Earth.”

Tackling these touchy topics in their respective artworks are my first two guests, mixed media artist Sara Lurie and tattoo and poster artist Howard Teman. Both depict very sexy—as well as a few rather unsexy—naked bodies and body parts, political and religious symbols, themes of erotic bondage, blow jobs, guns, blood, spiders, scorpions, a braid of hair that turns into a hang man’s noose, and a few notable celebrities in compromising positions, including JFK between Marilyn’s legs. My third guest, sexpot socialite Amor Hilton, is grappling with the loss of her friend, Christina Dolce, aka “Forbidden,” dubbed the “Queen of Myspace” by Vanity Fair in 2006; now dead of liver failure at 35.

Many years ago (I won’t say how many—I don’t want to shock you), I emerged…I wish I could say it was from my Mom’s vagina, but I was a Cesarean. Maybe that’s why I’m bisexual: trying to crawl into a vagina so I can emerge from it, born again…

And no, you needn’t have a Kindle to take advantage; you can download a free Kindle app so you can read it on any smartphone, iThing, tablet or computer. Note: if you’re one of the fine folks who bought, received or wrangled a signed first edition print copy, you should still get the Free Kindle anyway because that’s where you’ll see the amazing full-color photos of both bonobo and human apes in action

The bonobos, aka the Make Love Not War chimpanzees, our closest evolutionary relatives, have so much to teach us about our potential for peace and the value of sex. But when we say “value” here in Bonoboville, we’re not talking about “family values,” at least not the family values that all these hypocritical, Bible-thumping, drone-driving, woman-hating, crony-loving chickenhawks squawk about. We’re talking about sexual values…

Still *in recovery* from our scintillating New Year’s Eve bacchanal, we gather together in the Womb Room on our first broadcast of 2017, reflecting upon our 44 great shows of 2016, as we ceremoniously bestow The SUZY Awards for the fifth consecutive year. Honoring excellence in broadcast artistry and exhibitionism, the DrSusanBlock.Tv Awards, a.k.a., “The SUZYS,” recognize erotic performance, sexual intelligence and Weapons of Mass Seduction, celebrating The Bonobo Way of ‘peace through pleasure’ in all kinds of weather and paying tribute, with love, humor and deep respect, to those who work and play in the fields of peace and sexuality.

Whether you loved or hated it, this year is in the rear (for my full year-in-review and unadulterated thoughts on the unbonobo presidunce and erotic resistance, see #GoBonobos in 2018, also in Counterpunch). Thus, with a fond farewell to this year’s 45 sensational shows, a Merry New Year and a very Happy Nude Rear to all, we present the 2017 SUZY awards.
