Ginger, do you remember the last time I interviewed you? If I remember correctly, it's been a long time and I want to say New York City. No. Oh wait! You had a loft downtown and I was in your bed. I do remember that. And do you remember who was in our audience?

No. Twelve members of the LAPD. That sounds about right. I have a big fan base with the LAPD. They were raiding my studio the night you were a guest.

No, I don't remember. You're kidding. Yes. No, I'm not kidding. They were raiding my studio. It was in 2001. Or maybe 2000. It was in 2000. Now, did we go to jail? I think I would remember that.

No, we did not go to jail. They did not charge us with anything. They did not even really accuse us of anything, but they harassed us for a few hours. Knowing how naughty I am, I was hesitant to question what were we doing when they raided us. Well, nothing, because they raided us before the show started.

Okay. Alright, that makes much more sense. And so, we were all very nervous, and they were, you know, brandishing their weaponry. And I'm not talking about between their legs. I'm talking about on their sides. See, I was probably very distracted by the officers.

As long as I know I'm not going to jail, I was probably flirting with them. You were. Sometimes we wonder, we've always wondered, what's the reason that the LAPD raided us that night? And sometimes we wonder if it was because you were there.

There's a very good possibility. I would say, because as I said, I really like, I like men in uniform, and I make that very clear, and it could have been that your show is so popular. My fan base knew I was going to be on it. They knew about your show, and they went, let's go hang out with Dr. Susan and Ginger.

It could be because they never gave us a good reason, which is one reason why, when we sued them, we won a very nice settlement. Oh, see, I should have been there for that part. I always leave too early. I think I was probably blowing one of them.

Oh. They got their settlement that way. Let's go over to your booth. All right, let's go. What's going on here?

See, you've got some girls and corpses. The Sid Haig. Whoops. I've got the Sid Haig issue.

And one of the reasons that I wanted this so much is, first of all, it's in 3D. No, first of all, it's Sid Haig. Secondly, it's in 3D. And third, I worked with Sid.

He's Captain Spaulding in The Devil's Rejects. So I think I am the only person to ever have killed Captain Spaulding. And if you haven't seen the movie, I won't do the spoiler thing. We can head over to my booth. It's still in the pre-show hours.

Nice. Yes, there. Right there. And here we are at Ginger Lynne's booth, which is being set up. And we have some beautiful pictures of Ginger from different times in your life.

I really tried to cover the spectrum. I go from recent things such as Sid Haig and myself in Devil's Rejects. Back to, I've got my Australian Playboy. Some of my very first photo shoots.

I think I'm all of 21 in this photo. Yeah. Now how old were you when you did Taboo? I was in Taboo 4 and that would have been 1984.

I would have been 21 years old. So, you know what? I was in Taboo 4. You weren't in Taboo 4? I was playing myself as a newscaster.

Well, not really myself. A talk show host that was more like a conservative talk show host. And I was interviewing your dad in the movie, Jamie Gillis, about his book. I remember, you know, that was one of my favorite films I've ever done.

One of the most difficult. And the reason I said I had a blast. I had so much fun. There were wonderful, wonderful performers I got to work with.

Kevin James was fabulous. Jamie plays my father in the movie. And it was one of the scenes. I don't know if you've seen the movie, of course.

But when Daddy finally comes and pulls those covers back when I'm sleeping. And I have to wake up and call Jamie Gillis' daddy. It took me probably two, three hours before I could get the word out. I couldn't say it.

It was just, it was creepy and weird. Which made the film very Taboo. Hence the title. Hence the title.

And the incredible, intense effect it has on a lot of people. I mean, they just don't really make very many movies like that before or since. It deals with really Taboo subjects. I interviewed Kay Parker a couple weeks ago and actually here too.

She of course plays the mother in the first Taboo. And she has a little tiny cameo in Taboo 4. But as a sex therapist, I have so many clients that are deeply, deeply affected by those movies. Including yours.

In a positive way? In a negative way? In a sexual way? Certainly in a sexual way.

I would say the positives and the negatives are both there. I mean, it's obviously, you know, incest is one of the great Taboos. And there's a good reason for that. It's a big problem to have incest in almost all cases, let's say.

And so let's say across the board, don't try this at home or in a hotel room or anywhere. Don't try it, don't do it. But a lot of people have incest fantasies. And some people have had the experience.

Usually when they've had the experience, you know, there's problems that come up with that. Right. But certainly so many people have the fantasy. I mean, look at the Freudian, Oedipus complex, Electro complex.

There's a lot of that. And there's so little fictional literature in the movies on it. One of the reasons I think that the Taboo series was so successful is they took a very sense of subject.

Something that, again, in most, if not all instances, it's just wrong. And they did it so well. Back in the days when I was making films, we had bigger budgets. We had scripts that were 120 pages long.

They were real movies. And so to take a big budget, an actual film script, put together that Taboo subject and add the actual sex into it. It was a Hollywood production, in my opinion.

And the series did touch on so many different levels, areas that were uncomfortable. It was a huge success for many reasons. And I don't think that today's film industry could make that same type of film. Everything is done wham, bam.

Thank you, ma'am. Well, true. I mean, now, especially the adult industry. I mean, they don't even make those type of films, certainly in mainstream at all.

It's just a very, very difficult subject for our society to deal with. And so the Taboo movies have an incredible effect on people. People find them, and they respond to them. Kirby Stevens was director.

And I always wondered that, because I never grew up with any of that type of abuse at all. And for someone to write those types of scripts, someone to go that deep into their soul and be able to write that and then produce a film about it. Not in judgment, but I wondered, you know, where did that come from?

Here's the interesting part. His wife wrote the scripts. You're kidding. I am not. His wife wrote the scripts. He directed. Now, that's hot.

You know, sometimes it takes someone who didn't have that experience to write it, because it's a fantasy in many ways. I think it was really creepy if a man wrote it. But if a woman wrote it, I found it to be a turn on.

I'm not going to say you're sexist, Ginger. You know, I mean, we do... Why do so many people feel if a woman has sex with someone underage or something with a guy underage? It's not as bad as when a man has sex with a girl that's underage.

Because it's not. So that's why you feel that way. And it does give them some credence that the wife wrote the script. Absolutely. Now I have to go back and watch that again.

Yeah. Very interesting series. I did re-watch some of them, including your part, because I was interviewing Kay. And I was just so impressed with your acting. I mean, you know, the acting back then was very much a part of the movies, the adult movies.

Oh, it definitely was. I remember the very first movie that I did. The very first scene I did was a loop. I had been hired to do this big role. It was a film called Surrender in Paradise. It was taking place. We were shooting it in Hawaii on the island of Kauai.

Very excited. I accept the role. I get to choose my leading man. I have script approval. I have cast approval. I'm getting everything I want. I'm going to turn 21 while I'm making the film. And it hits me, what if I can't do this?

What if I can't have sex on film? I've just made this major commitment. So I do a loop. Now, there's no sound in a loop. At least there wasn't. I'd back when I did them. I don't know if there ever was. And I remember the director was, the camera was in front of me and my leading man was behind me.

And the director said, now, Ginger, I just want you to lick your lips. Now, this is how I didn't know anything, much less how to talk. I didn't know how to lick my lips. I was basically going, thinking, and I had red lipstick and I looked like a clown by the end of the scene.

Then I did my, I figured, okay, the sex part I'm going to be fine with. I get to Hawaii. We shoot a sex scene. No problem. I have a great time. It's heaven. Now I've got to do my first dialogue scene.

And I remember all I'm doing is jogging along a little path and Jerry Butler comes up on a motorcycle and yells some crew remark and I just have to blow them off. We shot the entire afternoon. I could not get the line of dialogue out of my mouth.

I could not do it. And the next day, you know, that night I worked on it with Jerry for a while and was able to pull it off. But it meant a lot to me to be able to act.

I started acting for six years. And it began when I saw myself on film for the first time. It was a film called Kinky Business. And we were at the Pussycat Theatre.

We had the big, long red carpet. I remember walking down the carpet. I was so excited. I sit down in my seat. I'm on the aisle. And I'm watching my acting just going, oh, my God, I suck.

I mean, and I was awful. I was so bad. Then the next scene comes up and I'm in the shower giving Tom Byron a blowjob. Now I won best blowjob scene for this scene.

But during it, I don't know if you've ever given a blowjob in the shower. You know, your water, the water splashing down on your face. You've got your hair stuck to the sides. And somehow when there's water involved, a penis and a mouth.

I looked like more like a fish than anything. And I saw myself. So the acting disturbed me enough that I had decided to go to acting school. I saw myself having sex for the first time.

And I cried because I thought my face looked really silly. I left the theater. I ran out and I started acting school right after that. Okay, well, you sound like you were very hard on yourself. I hope you're...

No, I was horrible. I really was. Okay, okay. I didn't see that movie. But in Taboo, you're just very believable as this perverted little daughter here. Perverted a little bit of typecasting.

So you're at the Hollywood show now and I guess this is your first time? No, this is... I've done the Hollywood show probably six or seven times. There were previous owners that I worked with. They have shows in Chicago. They had shows in the Burbank.

Since the new owners took over, this is the first time I've been back for their show. Oh, so I thought this was the first time they were having an adult wing. But maybe you were there more amongst everybody? The new owners, they have an adult wing as you call it.

When we did the shows before, they would have one or two stars. It was usually myself and or Seika. Once a while there might be a Tracy Lourdes thrown in for good measure. But we were dispersed throughout the mainstream crowd.

But it wasn't an adult section. And that sometimes is for a good reason. You get a room full of adult film stars. And for some reason there's always going to be a little cat fight.

We had one here yesterday. I missed that. I got to catch it this time. So, well, how do you feel about having a wing? I mean, in a way it's great to have such a large representation of the adult industry

which really does belong in a Hollywood show because the adult industry is part of Hollywood. Absolutely. I think it's kind of really nice. We have our own wing.

It gives people that these shows are open to the general public. You've got people of all ages coming in. And as classy and as sexy as most of the girls' photos are, some of them, you know, I have my breasts exposed in photos

and I wouldn't want children. I don't want to have to cover things up. I'm glad you don't have to cover things up because your breasts are beautiful.
