Whether you loved or hated it, this year is in the rear (for my full year-in-review and unadulterated thoughts on the unbonobo presidunce and erotic resistance, see #GoBonobos in 2018, also in Counterpunch). Thus, with a fond farewell to this year’s 45 sensational shows, a Merry New Year and a very Happy Nude Rear to all, we present the 2017 SUZY awards.

Two great bonoboësque ladies, world-class stars of kink and sex education, grace my broadcast bed for Kink Month IV, a festival of floggers and books—for reading and spanking. I open the show riding my Magic Dildonic Vibrating Broom, flying on a kinky stream of Halloween poetry into a Womb Room packed with apprentices of pleasure. The gentle leader of these aspiring “sex coaches” is my first guest, master sex coach, clinical sexologist, SexCoachU.com co-founder and author of The Art of Sex Coaching, Dr. Patti Britton. In the midst of teaching one of her “SAR” (Sexual Attitude Reassessment & Restructuring) weekend groups, the indefatigable Dr. Patti brings her charming students to Bonoboville to expand their erotic horizons and celebrate Kink Month with the kinksters.

Way back in the 20th century, when being called a “slut” was almost always a slur, the authors of a (then) brand new book that reclaimed this scornful insult as “a term of approval, even endearment,” came on my show. We had a blast chatting about the nature of sex and the future of love, then played in the after-party. The book was called The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities (1997), and it became the sex-positive, poly-friendly manifesto of consensual erotic adventure for a new generation of sexual pleasure seekers with a spiritual conscience—a desire to do good as well as feel good, sometimes even at the same time! Now on this live broadcast, one of the co-authors, Janet W. Hardy, is back on DrSuzy.Tv, talking about the new and improved edition of this polyamory Bible, which includes exercises, updates and a new subtitle: The Ethical Slut: A Practical Guide to Polyamory, Open Relationships & Other Adventures (2009). Janet—who had gone by her pseudonym Catherine A. Liszt on the first edition of The Ethical Slut, written with Dossie Easton—is coming to UCLA this Saturday for Sex-Positive World’s special event, “Sexual Health Series Kick Off: Redefining Sexuality for the 21st Century.”

Our very special musical guests are The Luzers in their virgin appearance in Bonoboville and, indeed, all of America. Named for the band’s lead singer who also happens to be a recurring guest on DrSuzy.Tv, Mr. Luzer Twersky, the Luzers are the brainchild of the merry, mutton-chopped, musical Mad Hatter of Bergen, Norway, Hans Petter Gundersen, a.k.a. “H.P.” In addition to being LA’s most up-and-coming ex-Hasidic Jew, winner of two “Best Actor” awards for his performance in Félix & Meira and a recurring player on Amazon’s hit series Transparent, Luzer is also the unofficial Bonoboville chauffeur which is why parts of this show feel like a performance at a big family dinner, if your family gathers around for Cold Cock and a striptease. Fireworks Not Bombs! That’s our bonobo battle cry for the 4th of July. With America’s 239th birthday falling on a Saturday night, we take DrSuzy.Tv up to the Villa Bonobo roof, where I commemorate the occasion by lighting a sparkling birthday “candle” nestled between Biz Bonobo’s beautiful bodacious butt cheeks, as fireworks from the surrounding beaches, villages and wharves of West LA shimmer and explode all around us. Fireworks are orgasms for the eyes. They dazzle, pulsate, pop and go “bang,” eliciting “oohs,” “ahhs” and shrieks of joy. Our polluted city skies may be shorn of stars, but we can light up the night with the visual delight of human-made star bursts and galactic displays.

Having just survived an evil showerhead’s precipitous fall on my poor defenseless big toe, leaving me partially immobilized, unable to even walk (at least not in my skyscraper heels), I commence this show as a shoeless damsel-in-distress desperately seeking a superhero to save me from… another falling showerhead? A terrorist attack? Antonin Scalia’s toxic sour grapes? Whatever the villain, my superhero is here and her name is Ari Dee, a stunning 5’8” provocateur, webcam performance artist and superhero extraordinaire.
