Gavin and I had corresponded via Twitter the day before, so I knew he wanted to chat and, true to his \u201cLove Boat\u201d character (Captain Merrill Stubbing), he enthusiastically complimented me on my \u201cMarilyn\u201d skirt and Charo-like top, gave me a big avuncular hug and kiss on the cheek as he told me how Jesus saved his marriage. When I later introduced him to my own captain and husband of 22 years, Capt\u2019n Max (another \u201clove legend\u201d as publisher of the iconic Love Magazine \u201cwhere fantasy and reality meet\u201d), he welcomed me back like an old cruise ship mate. No wonder Gavin MacLeod\u2019s a legend.
